Pregnant and taking a teencey tiny break from traveling:

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹β˜ΊοΈ

So, we’re 32 weeks and 2 days pregnant, and all I can think about is the non stop pain this little babe has brought me so far 😭

I have to be honest with you guys: with Gracie – my pregnancy was a breeze. I didn’t feel ANY of the pain I am experiencing and have been experiencing thus far until I was in the hospital with her. With this little boy however, pain since AT LEAST 20 weeks that has progressively only gotten worse…. Sciatica and varicose veins are just a couple of my everyday struggles you guys… It’s AWFUL! Especially at night time… I just want to sleep little dude. Lettttt mama sleep. PLEASE 😩

At our most previous doctor’s visit just a few short days ago, we found out baby boys head is really low. I know I’m not full term, but I could swear he wants to make his presence early lol. We’re praying however that that isn’t the case and that he is brought into the world as healthy as can be. Our doctor won’t check for dilation until we are 36 weeks pregnant (even though I wishhhh they could check sooner), so we’re hanging in there. We were advised however to be put on bed rest. Which means our traveling has been put on a short hold. We do have mini getaways planned. But they aren’t any longer than a day to two days, and our doctor is fully aware.

Zack and I have come to, kind of a major decision if you will. Once baby Rylan is due, we have agreed to – Zack getting a vasectomy, and I getting my tubes tied. We feel two babies is the perfect number FOR US! We absolutely love being parents, and we adore every stage of pregnancy, but we love the idea of being a family of four. Plus, our two kitties and our puppy (although he’s not really a puppy. He’s seven – Gracie just likes to call him her puppy πŸ˜…πŸ•πŸΎ).

They are totally best friends you guys ❀️

So, as hard as this pregnancy has been for us mentally, physically, and emotionally even, we’ve been cherishing every second.

We’ve been experiencing intense Braxton Hicks contractions, and a whole ton of pressure, and we’ve been just trying to smile through the pain. It’s always a guessing game these days. Is he coming? Is he just pulling a prank on us? Lol, so we’re extremely thankful for contraction trackers. We have an app on our phones that allows us to keep track of the contractions duration and intervals between each new set, and it is a MAJOR lifesaver πŸ™†πŸ€°

Some things we’ll really miss being pregnant though: for one: all of the baby wiggles and kicks. It’s the most beautiful thing feeling those little flutters and movements. And then as your belly and baby get bigger, SEEING those movements. Zack and I will literally lay in bed at nap time or night time, and watch his little butt move from the left side of my belly to the right, then back to the left again. Or watching my tummy just go up and down because Rylan is kicking and we can see his whole foot print literally. Another thing we’ll miss is totally the belly itself. I’ve always loved having a pregnant belly. They are just the cutest. I really love dressing the bump. Give me all of the bodycon dresses please since I was pregnant BOTH ✌️ times in the summer heat πŸ‘—πŸ˜…

And what makes this pregnancy extra special is now, rather than just Zack kissing and talking to Gracie in mommy’s tummy – Gracie and daddy are both kissing mommy’s tummy and talking to Rylan. Gracie is going to be the most amazing big sissy. Every single day… It never fails – she will ask “mommy, is baby brother coming today?” She cannot wait to show him the world. To play with him, sing to him, take care of him, teach him new things. She cannot wait to tell him alllll of her stories (this girl has a lot of stories believe me 🀚), make up new and exciting games with him, and literally just be his little best friend. Our hearts are so full. She has the most beautiful personality inside and out, and we’re so anxious to meet Rylan and see what he will be like β™₯️ is he going to be outgoing, energetic and full of non stop energy like sissy? Or, is he going to be more quiet and reserved? Is he going to have an explosive imagination? Will he love to sing and dance? Will he LOVE Disney movies as much as we do? Will he be artsy? And then the more obvious questions like: will he have hair? Lol, big blue eyes like Gracie? Or, big brown eyes like mommy and daddy?

Little boy, no matter your looks, personality, interests, or whatever else – we will love you endlessly. Mommy, daddy, and Gracie cannot wait to meet you. We cannot wait to travel the world as a family of FOUR! We cannot wait to kiss your little face, hold you super tight, sing to you every night, and watch you grow into an incredible person. 54 more days to go β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

Zack took some Incredible maternity pictures, but we’re hoping we can get a few more shoots in before baby boy arrives.

Here’s just a few so far 😊🀰

The one of Gracie is just a bonus 😁

Shoot one of four (hopefully 🀞), one of which I want taken at the hospital not to long before we meet Rylan so that we can forever remember and celebrate the beautiful joys of pregnancy, and moving forward – Growing our little tribe β™₯οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦πŸ•πŸˆπŸˆ

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog post. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Or, simply say hi πŸ™‹ we would love to hear from you.

Virginia Beach, Virginia – Baby Free Getaway

If we are being completely honest: Virginia Beach is one of our favorite little places to visit. It’s a gem for us. We love the life and simplicity Virginia Beach brings. While we do have some cons, the pros outweigh our love for the city much more.

Some of the things we absolutely love about Virginia Beach:

For one we LOVE the food. Some of the best restaurants we’ve ever been too have been from here. Mexican food – AMAZING. Steaks, ribs, chicken fingers – super delicious. The absolute best chicken Alfredo 😍 – INCREDIBLE mimosas and waffles… Our mouths are drooling just thinking about all of the deliciousness. What’s even more incredible? Most, if not all of these delectable restaurants are found on the boardwalk – beach side. Enjoy your meal, sunrise, sunshine and sunset outdoors, soaking up that fresh ocean air. We literally can’t get enough.

And while our favorite vacations are with our baby girl by our side: Zack and I decided to take one final mommy and daddy solo vacation alone: baby free before baby #2 arrives.

Gracie’s baby brother will be here in the beginning of October. And you guys, I’m SO GLAD this pregnancy has flewn by. If you’ve ever been pregnant in the summer time, you’ll know it’s absolute TORTURE!!! Thankfully, that beach water made this momma very happy. It was so refreshing 😌

Aside from the beach and the food in Virginia Beach, we love the boardwalk itself. We’re obsessed with the small shops, music played by musicians of all genres and instrumental backgrounds, and the artists you’ll catch: sharing their love and passion for all to see and experience. There’s so much talent out there, it’s mind blowing. From art sculptures, to paintings, to jugglers and everything in between – we couldn’t help but stop and watch.

Our stay was at the gorgeous Courtyard by Marriott Oceanfront North 37th Street.

We were a little obsessed with our hotel for a variety of reasons:

  1. It had the cutest indoor / outdoor restaurant
  2. It was right on the boardwalk
  3. Our hotel room was beachfront (literally)
  4. The pool was gorgeous and the perfect place to relax after a long day out in the sun
  5. Very spacious room
  6. The staff was incredible
  7. Very conveniently located next to everything we wanted to see including the Rudee Flipper and Old Time Photos

Some of our favorite activities included a trip to the Rudee Flipper – a dolphin sight seeing boat ride.

It was an awesome experience. The day was humid (check that hair πŸ™†πŸ™ˆ) and it was a bit rainy, but we didn’t let that ruin our parade. There was so many dolphins – we were in total awe.

Our next stop was at Old Time Photos: If you’re ever around an Old Time Photos while on vacation, we highly recommend it. If you love dressing up, acting totally silly, and role playing, Old Time Photos is the perfect place to do so. While we don’t enjoy being in front of the camera so to say, the people who work there are so sweet. They know how to make anyone feel comfortable, and they’ll keep you laughing from the moment you step into the store all the way up until the time that you leave. Old Time Photos feels like a whole other world, which I think is partly why we love it so much. It’s different in the best way.

Zack and I had a blast getting all dolled up. We felt like movie stars in an old Western movie. We were laughing non stop.

Our Virginia Beach trip was only for two days. It was the best mini baby free getaway we could ask for, but my gosh was I missing those delicious mimosas with my waffles, and giant margaritas from our favorite little authentic Mexican restaurant – Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant πŸ˜‹

Before we go, some of our cons include:

  1. High taxes. They are a bit higher then we’re used to here in New York
  2. The weather can be very muggy and humid but that’s expected when you’re by the beach

And…. That’s pretty much it for us. Everything else is a total A+ in our book πŸ€—

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time…

Cherry Springs Pennsylvania – A star gazers paradise βœ¨β

Day 1:

We call Cherry Springs Pennsylvania a star gazers paradise because well… If you’ve ever visited – especially during the new moon – you’re jaw would totally drop. It’s so breathtakingly beautiful and serene.

Friday, May 31st Zack, Gracie and I packed our things and headed on the road. If there’s one thing we really appreciate, it’s a good roadtrip. To some they can be long and grilling, but we love the family quality time.

We talk, sing, laugh, laugh, sing, talk. And, as you can see, act totally goofy… What could be better? πŸ™‚

Once we hit the Pennsylvania state line we were super excited. We had a beautiful cabin waiting for us, but check in wasn’t until 3pm. So, we stopped for lunch at this small little country restaurant called the Critten Hotel.

It was the quietest little place. Not a soul around, except for the server and us. The restaurant itself was freezing too. It was pouring rain outside and we felt water flying our way as we sat and waited for our food to arrive, and the server could not figure out where the rain was coming from. It was a cold restaurant experience to say the least πŸ’§

When food finally arrived, it was a bit disappointing. The French fries weren’t cooked fully, the chicken fingers were very small, our waitress wasn’t attentive on refills for our drinks. Overall, visiting that restaurant again probably won’t happen for us next time around.

Needless to say, after lunch we headed straight to our cabin. We pulled up and immediately said “let’s explore, we’ll grab the bags when we’re done”. So, that’s exactly what we did.

We grabbed our key and went straight for the door. As soon as we opened the door we saw a cute little entry way for shoes, a side door leading to the garage, and some stairs. We took the stairs up, opened the door that led to our actual little house and immediately I think all three of us fell in love.

It felt so much like home, which is something I think all of us want most when traveling and visiting new places.

I wish I would have grabbed more pictures because there was so much more to see. Our little cabin had three bedrooms – two kids play rooms upstairs, and the master bedroom right next to the bathroom downstairs. It had the cutest little dining area, breakfast bar, kitchen, bathroom, and very spacious closet space in all of the rooms.

Zack and I loved the front porch with the swing, the back patio with a grill and table to hang out / eat at if we chose too, the huge amount of land in our backyard

And the view of the front of our house…

While Gracie’s favorite thing was the little play area right beside our cabin.

I think the craziest thing is, as beautiful as the house was, we really didn’t spend too much time in it, unless we were sleeping.

We’d wake up in the morning, eat some breakfast, sit on the porch swing for a few minutes – talk about our plans for the day. Take a shower, get dressed and then be gone until later that night.

I think one thing about us is – we’re really into nature and exploring. We love seeing absolutely everything a place has to offer. And Gracie has so much curiosity for the world – we love sharing these beautiful moments with her and watching her eyes light up with wonder β™₯️

But, we’re getting sidetracked here – So… Back to day 1: after we brought all of our bags into the house, we visited one of Pennsylvania’s state parks – Lyman Run State Park.

It was raining all day pretty much. But once we got to the park, the skies started to get a little more clear. The ground was wet. There was puddles everywhere. But we had such a blast. We saw the entire park which featured a mini beach, a star gazers destination for those night time photographers, and our personal favorite – a bridge overlooking a small waterfall pond.

After a few hours spent exploring the park, we headed back to our cabin for some dinner. That night we had pizza πŸ•πŸ˜‹

After three slices later, this little girl says “momma, I’m still hungry”. So, chips immediately followed πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

I know what you’re thinking, but you guys, this little girl has a huge appetite πŸ˜…

It was about 9:30, maybe 10pm when we finally left the kitchen and decided to unwind a little bit before leaving our cabin for a little late night adventure catching the milky way.

Here’s what we caught that first night:

Day 2:

Early the next morning, we woke up, ate some breakfast as usual, took a shower, hung out on the porch swing and did a little playing on the mini kids play area beside our cabin. Daddy fell asleep on the couch so Gracie and I decided to explore our back yard.

It was about 90Β° degrees outside – being six months pregnant, climbing up a non stop hill in the heat made this momma feel light-headed. So, we returned back to the cabin where we found daddy awake. I chugged A TON of water and rounded up the crew to grab some lunch.

This time we visited a new restaurant – A&W bar and grill. This experience was much better as the food was much larger (score) πŸ˜… the waiter was attentive on our drinks, and overall, everything was delicious.

We would definitely go back.

After lunch, we visited the creepiest little house dead center in the city village

We love stuff like this. (Take a peek at what that middle window says). Doesn’t it just remind you of something you’d see in a Disney movie?

After the house, we visited Cherry Springs State Park – this park in particular was genuinely built with the photographer in mind.

It was beautiful, and we have to add – Gracie had a blast throwing rocks in a pond πŸ˜„

After exploring the park and finding our next destination for that nights new moon πŸŒ• we walked the town’s cute little city – it was small but quaint β™₯️

Then we went back to our cabin, took daddy to explore the backyard with us that he missed earlier on while napping. Keep in mind I’m still pregnant so it wasn’t a long walk climbing up such a steep hill πŸ˜… but we didn’t want to leave that moment, the precious memories we made, or our little cabin, and the serene calm of this place. We could stay forever.

Relaxation, fresh air, and nature…. Ahhhhh 😌

10:30pm rolls around the corner and we leave to go back to Cherry Springs State Park.

These are the pictures we captured from night 2:

And one final late night picture back at the cabin βœ¨πŸŒ‘

Day 3:

Time to leave and head back home. We fell in love with this little town, and we’ll absolutely be coming back. But until then, it was nice getting away from work and responsibilities for a little bit.

The best part? Zack and I were both off that day and spent it at the park and riding Gracie’s bike. Having even more mommy, daddy, Gracie time β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time….
